Course Description:

This course is an orientation to the theology and practice of the life and work of a deaconess. This course would teach what God expects (the qualifications) of those in public ministry, the practical work that a deaconess is expected to carry out (and what she is not expected to carry out), the deaconess’ devotional life, servant leadership, and introduction to all of the areas of deaconess ministry (teaching, counseling, helping families, working with children, ministry of mercy, calling on the sick, and supporting the work of a pastor.

本课程旨在介绍女执事职分的神学基础与生命实践，内容涵盖：上帝对参与公共事工之人的期望（即其资格条件）、女执事应承担的实际工作（以及她不应承担的工作）、女执事的灵修生活、仆人式的领导，以及女执事事工的各个方面的入门内容，例如：教导、辅导、家庭事工、儿童事工、关怀事工、探访病人，以及协助牧师的事奉等。

1. 向可能愿意并有能力担任女执事的姐妹介绍女执事的角色。

Introduce the role of deaconess to women who might be willing and able to serve in such a ministry.

2. 提供圣经背景与新约中各类事工形式的教导。

Give the Biblical background and instruction in New Testament forms of ministry.

3. 让学生有机会分享他们的领悟，并借助教师所提供的见解，思考自己如何在事奉中成长并参与服事。

Give students the opportunity to share their insights in ways that they can serve and grow through insights provided by their instructor.
